Free Fishing Day! Thursday, July 4
The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission will once again celebrate the nation’s birthday with its annual Free Fishing Day. On Thursday, July 4, fishing in all of the state’s fresh and salt waters is allowed without prior purchase of a fishing license. From 12 a.m. until 11:59 p.m., fishing is open to everyone. All NCWRC regulations, size and creel limits are still in effect.
