Officials Tour Future Visitor Center, Cove Bridge

Burke and McDowell county officials toured the new Lake James State Park visitor center and Cove Bridge last month; a trip organized by Friends of the Fonta Flora State Trail (F3ST) Executive Director Beth Heile and hosted by Park Superintendent Nora Coffey. Both counties support F3ST financially to help reach the goal of getting the Fonta Flora State Trail completed in the next 10 years. The Fonta Flora State Trail will cross the 250-foot Cove Bridge and pass through the new Visitor Center.
